The Tri State Skate Shop video premiere went down April 11th at Drop-In Skatepark in Hillburn, New York.

This was also the same day that I finally got a new Digital SLR body. After years of shooting on the Canon 20d I finally upgraded to a full frame SLR – the Canon 5d Mark ii.

The camera not only takes 21 mega-pixel photos but also shoots HD video and the video function was the first thing I tested out. Here’s the first video video I’ve filmed with it:

Everything is shot hand held, I wanted to test and see if I got any strobing. I’m sure it would look much better on a tripod.

It also shoots at much higher ISO speeds. This was shot at 6400: not bad

The Rye Airfield Premiere is scheduled for next Saturday March, 14th. The showing is free from 8-9PM followed by a inline only session from 9-11PM for a reduced rate of $10. Come check out the video and skate the newly designed street area.

Boston Premiere

February 24, 2009

Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Mass Art premiere this past weekend. I was amazed by the turn out with such short notice.

Wish I had a chance to take more photos of the event. Kyle Couture shoot some video:

Big thanks to Kyle, Liz and Smokes for helping out!

Boston Premiere – This Weekend!!!

This is kind of last minute. Originally I was planning on waiting until after Bittercold Showdown to have a Boston premiere. This is because there was a “Too Much Love” video premiere scheduled for this weekend in New England but that’s been canceled. I thought it would better not to make anyone wait any longer and put something together this for Saturday.

It’s going to be held this Saturday at 6:30PM in screening room 1 in the Film Department @ The Massachusetts College of Art, 621 Huntington Avenue in Boston, MA.

This is easily accessible by the T.
Just take the Green Line (E) train to the Longwood/ Harvard Medical stop. The film department can be tricky to find so we will be meeting up around 6PM near the cafeteria.
(This is the building across the street from the T-Stop, with a nice handicap rail outside the front door, please don’t skate this until after the movie is done)

It’s free to attend but make sure to pick up your own copy of the video at the premiere and help me make back some of the money I invested in this project. Copies are $20 at the premiere and come with free stickers.

If you can’t make the premiere you can also now pick up a copy at your local skate shop or online
